The Department of Geology and Geophysics offers two undergraduate programs for those students interested in the Earth Sciences: A BS degree and a BA degree. Students may also elect to combine either of these degrees with an affiliated discipline degree in Environment and Natural Resources. In addition, we offer a minor in geology for non-majors who wish to broaden their experience in the Earth Sciences.

The goal of our undergraduate program is to provide students with an excellent grounding in all aspects of the Earth Sciences and to provide them with the skills and best possible preparation for a successful future career whether it be in the geological sciences or in another field.
